I love pretty things and I like taking the ordinary and making it "extra"ordinary. That's what I hope to convey through my blog. I'll take ordinary things, or discarded items, and give them new life.
That was the premise behind Sweet and Sassy Treasures. Sometimes what I make has a romantic or vintage flare, and sometimes it is brighter and edgier (or sassy), but whatever direction I take, I hope I inspire you to create! Thank you for joining me on this journey.
If you're like me and have a ton of scrap wood laying around then you are constantly looking for ways to turn that scrap wood into art. You, too, can create unique artwork in a little over an hour! Here's a list of materials that you'll need to complete this project:
scrap wood: I used 1/2" sanded plywood 12" by 14"
DIY paint in Tarnished Pearl and Prairie Grey
IOD Mould Trimmings 2
IOD Air Dry Clay
IOD Transfer Entomology Etcetera https://www.sweetandsassytreasures.com/product-page/entomology-transfer
IOD Stamp Trompe L'oeil 2
IOD Transfer (scrap)
DIY wax in clear and black
You can see how I did this, step by step, by watching this video:
I hope you enjoyed this project!
