DIY Decoupaged Wooden Tray: Quick and Easy
I love everything that decoupage makes possible and this tray was no exception! When I was looking through all of the Monahan Papers that I carry this paper seemed like the perfect candidate for this project.
I created this beautiful wooden tray using the Monahan Paper's Red Stripe Birds and DIY Paint's Clear Liquid Patina as a decoupage medium. This wooden canvas was made up of 3 separate boards and instead of cutting my paper and risking cutting it "short", I adhered the paper as a single sheet and cut the paper along the "cracks" using a craft knife. I used Debi's Design Diary DIY Paint in Sandy Blonde as my base coat along with Carnival Red and Cake Batter on a portion of the Iron Orchid Design's Bohemia Stamp to create the border. The handles were purchased from Hobby Lobby and the 13" by 19" tray is by Darice.
